Adventure – MARRAKECH TO ZAGORA 3 DAYS TOUR

Itinerary tour from Marrakech to Zagora:

a long Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Zagora

Our three-day tour from Marrakech to Zagora will start when we pick you up from your accommodation, then we will start driving towards the Sahara desert. Through the High Atlas Mountains, we will drive by the famous mountain pass of Tizin Tichka, which will give us a view of the breathtaking landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains and the neighboring small villages. Our first stop of the day will at the Kasbah of Tamnougalte and the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. In addition to being a recognized UNESCO world heritage site, the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou has attracted many important movie directors throughout the years. After that, we will keep driving along the Draa valley, surrounded by Palm trees from both sides. The last stop we will make along the way will be at Zagora village, where will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Zagora – Tamegroute – Mhamid – Chigaga

The first thing we will do today is exploring the Tamagroute town, especially its historical library which is considered to be one of the oldest in the entire country. We will visit the village of Mhamid next, which is a traditional desert village unchanged by civilization. From the village, we will get an absolutely stunning view of the impressive Chigaga sand dunes blending with the horizon. From here we will start our camel ride, which will take us through the magical desert dunes as the sun is setting in a scarlet-lit sky. Finally, the camels will take us to the traditional desert camp where we will be spending the night.

Day 3: Chigaga –Foumzguid – Tazenakht – High Atlas – Marrakech

We will make sure to wake you up in time to catch the magnificent sunrise over the desert dunes, then we will drive through the old Paris-Dakar tracks and the dried Iriqui Lake, which used to be filled with water and a site attracting all sorts of wild birds. This will lead us to the small beautiful village of Foum Zguid. Finally, we will visit the village of Taznakht, which used to be an important spot for trade in the area. Finally, we will reach Ouarzazate, after which we will be on our way back to Marrakech. After we drive through the Berber villages in the High Atlas Mountains, we will reach Marrakech in the late afternoon. This marks the end of our trip from Marrakech to Zagora.
