Itinerary tour from Casablanca to desert:

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat :

We will come to pick you up from the airport to begin our visit to the fascinating Hassan II Mosque. We will then start our tour from Casablanca to desert. We will reach Rabat, the capital of the kingdom, and explore its historical monuments. We have dinner and spend the night in a local hotel.

Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Fez :

This next day, we will start driving towards the city of Fez. Along the way, we will stop at the spiritual town of Moulay Idriss and at Volubilis, which is a city of ruins left by the Roman Empire. After lunch at Volubilis, we will arrive at the imperial city of Meknes, also known as “The Versailles of Morocco”. We will have a tour of the city focusing on the most iconic monuments. Finally, we will arrive in Fez where we will have dinner and spend the night at a hotel.

Day 3: Fez – Historical Tour :

We will have breakfast first, then we will start our exploration of Fez. Fez was perhaps the beating heart of Arab-Muslim culture back in the day, which was made true because of the decisions of king Idriss II. Being home to the oldest ancient Medina in Morocco and the oldest university in the world, Fez has preserved all of its culture and monuments through time, such as The Mosque of the Andalusians, the leather tanneries, and the pottery cooperatives. You will get to try a traditional Moroccan lunch, after which you will visit more monuments, like the Nejjarine and the Madrassas.

Day 4: Fez – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga Dunes :

On the fourth day of our tour from Casablanca to desert, we will have an early breakfast and then start driving through the Middle Atlas Mountains, where we will stop at the town of Midelt to get lunch. Then through the beautiful Ziz valley, we will arrive at Erfoud city after meeting a bunch of abandoned Kasbahs along the way. Finally, we will arrive at Merzouga town and the dunes of Erg Chebbi where we will be spending the night at a traditional Kasbah.

Day 5: Merzouga – Erg chebbi – Merzouga :

Today we will have breakfast and then leave for our desert explorations, which will include visiting the oases of Merzouga, the traditional Khamlia village known for its indigenous Gnaoua Music, the mines of Mifiss, the Berber nomadic families at the desert plateau, and finally the oasis of Tisserdmin. We will head back to the hotel to have lunch and prepare for our camel trekking ride through the dunes. At around 3 in the afternoon, you will begin the trek as you will get to ride on the back of a camel, enjoying the breathtaking sunset over the desert dunes. After about an hour and a half ride, the camels will take you to the desert camp where you will enjoy dinner in a relaxing Sahara atmosphere. Seize this opportunity to stargaze in the clear desert night sky, then you can go to bed in your personal tent.

Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges :

We will wake up in time to watch the very special desert sunrise, after which we will head back to our hotel to have breakfast and get to chance to shower. Our next destination for our Casablanca to desert tour will be Tinghir, which we will reach through Rissani, Erfoud, and Tinejdad. After that we will continue our Casablanca to desert tour by driving to Ouarzazate, passing by the valley of Dades and the valley of Roses.
