TOUR 2 DAYS FROM FEZ TO MERZOUGA DESERT

2 days tour from Fez to Merzouga, Itinerary:

Day 1: From Fez to Merzouga desert

Today will begin our driving tour from Fez to Merzouga. We will drive by the cedar forests in the Middle Atlas region, in which you will get to watch wild macaque monkeys. Then we will stop by the town of Midelt to have lunch. Back on the road, we will reach the breathtaking Ziz Valley. This valley is famous for its impressive groves of palm trees and beautiful greenery.

We will arrive at Erfoud, also known as the capital of fossils. After this we will continue driving until we reach the Sahara desert, arriving at the very famous sea of dunes of Erg Chebbi. Finally, we will arrive at our last destination of the day, the town of Merzouga. Here you will find a caravan of camels waiting for you, which you will ride into the Sahara dunes, reaching our desert camp set up specifically for you. You can climb up one of the dunes in order to watch the scenic desert sunset, which we promise you is an opportunity of a lifetime. At the camp, you will have dinner around a warm calming campfire. At the camp, you will be provided with dinner and breakfast the next morning.

Day 2: From Erg Chebbi desert to Merzouga and Ziz Valley then Midelt then Ifrane and finally Fes

We strongly advise you to wake up early this next day in order to watch the breathtaking desert sunrise. We will then ride our camels back to Merzouga, where you will have breakfast and get the chance to shower. Then we will start our road trip back to Fez through the Atlas Mountains. We will arrive at Fez in the late afternoon. End of your tour from Fes to Merzouga.
