DESERT TOUR 3 DAYS FROM FES TO MARRAKECH

Program for the 3 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech: 

Day 1: Fes – Ifran – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

Today we will start our 3 days from Fes to Marrakech towards the desert at Merzouga, driving by the town of Ifrane. We will reach the cedar forests in the Middle Atlas regions, in which you will get to watch wild macaque monkeys in their natural habitat. Then we will stop by the town of Midelt to have lunch while enjoying the views of the Moulouya River. Back on the road, we will drive through another high mountain pass called Tizin Talremt, leading us to the breathtaking Ziz Valley. This valley is famous for its impressive groves of palm trees and beautiful greenery. After this we will continue driving until we reach the Sahara desert, arriving at the very famous sea of dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will have a little break in order for you to prepare yourself for an absolutely unforgettable night at the desert camp.

Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Canyon – Dadès Canyon

This next day on the 3 days from Fes to Marrakech, we will make sure to wake you up in time to witness the magical sunrise over the desert dunes, after which we will have breakfast at the camp before riding camels to our hotel. We will start our exploration of the desert by visiting the gorges of Todra, then the huge impressive palm groves at Rissani. Next, we will head to the magnificent gorges of Dades where we will have lunch. Take your time to appreciate the landscapes of the region and learn more about the lifestyle of the locals. We will have dinner in Dades, then we will return to the desert camp where we will spend the night under the starry night sky as our carpet.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Today we will start driving towards the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, passing by the beautiful valley of roses located at Klaat Mgouna. After this, we will reach the Hollywood of Morocco: the city of Ouarzazate. Ouarzazate has been given this for being home to the most important movie studios in Morocco, which you can visit during our tour here. After lunch here, we will head on our 3 days from Fes to Marrakech to the nearby Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou to explore the UNESCO world heritage site. Finally, as a way to close our trip, we will head to the beautiful Marrakech, also known as the Red City.
