Itinerary tour from Tangier:
Day 1: Tangier
First day of your tour from Tangier. Upon your arrival at Tangier, we will come to pick you up and take you to the hotel where you will be staying, in the heart of the old Medina. Then you will start your tour by exploring the beautiful monuments that are home to, more specifically the Jewish historical monuments. This includes the Jewish quarter (the Mellah), the Jewish cemetery, the Chaar Rafael Synagogue, and the Moshe Nahon Synagogue. You will spend the night at a hotel.
Day 2: Tangier-Tetouan-Chefchaouen. (BL)
After having breakfast, we will start your tour from tangier by driving towards the city of Tetouan through the Malabata cape, which will allow having some scenic sights over the city of Tangier. Our first stop on our way to Tetouan will be the small town of Ksar Es Seghir, which is protected by old ramparts built by the Portuguese back in the day. Once at Tetouan, the old base of operation during the time of the Merrinide dynasty, you will get glimpses of the beauty of the city.
Then we will continue to Chefchaouen, where you will explore a quiet town that attracts people from all around the world for its lovely and hospitable locals, its iconic blue-colored houses and buildings, and its historical old Medina. We will make sure you’ll get to explore all of the most important locations and attractions that Chefchaouen has to offer, including the main square called Outa El-Hammam, the narrow alleyways of the old medina, the small shops and vendors of artisanal handmade products, and the old fortified Kasbah with its garden, its museum, and its ancient prison cells. Somewhere in the midst of all of this, you will get to have a traditional meal at a local restaurant or café. Finally, as the day nears its end, we will hike up to the Spanish Mosque in order to catch a panoramic view of the sunset over the entire city and the neighboring mountains as well. You will spend the night at a traditional odal hotel.
Day 3: Chefchaouen
Today you will have the freedom to explore the city however you wish.
Day 4: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
On the next day of the experience tour from Tangier, we will start driving toward the city of Fez. Along the way, we will stop at Volubilis, which is a city of ruins left by the Roman Empire. After lunch at Volubilis, we will arrive at the imperial city of Meknes, also known as “The Versailles of Morocco”. We will have a tour of the city focusing on the most iconic monuments. Finally, we will arrive in Fez where we will have dinner and spend the night at a local Riad.
Day 5: Fes sightseeing
On the fifth day of your tour from Tangier, you will explore the city of Fez. The city is considered a protected UNESCO world heritage site, for it still preserves its authenticity from the impact of French colonization. The Old Fez (Fez El Bali) still looks almost identical to what it looked like originally. However, Fez today has expanded and so it contains two more main areas: The new Fez (Fez El Jdid) and the “Ville Nouvelle”. We will go through the Bab Boujeloud gate traversing the main connecting way of Talaa Kebira. Both sides of the street are filled with colorful shops and boutiques. As we keep progressing inside the old Medina, the streets will get narrower and windier; and unlike Marrakech, the streets of Fez are much steeper. In the middle of the Old Medina, you will get a panoramic view over the colorful Chouara leather tanneries. The next thing you will get to visit during our trip to Fez is the world-famous Al-Qarawiyyin University. This university is the oldest in the world, and it is a marvelous work of Islamic architecture. You can visit the Batha museum of Moroccan arts, or explore the Fez Jdid part of the city, including a walk alongside the Royal Palace and around the old Jewish quarter (El Mellah). You get to choose how you want to spend your day! Finally, you will enjoy dinner and spend the night at a Riad.
Day 6: Fez – Ifrane-Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga
Today will be a road trip towards the desert at Merzouga, driving through the cedar forests in the Middle Atlas regions, in which you will get to watch wild macaque monkeys in their natural habitat. Then we will stop by the town of Midelt to have lunch while enjoying the views of the Moulouya River. Back on the road, we will drive through another high mountain pass called Tizin Talremt, leading us to the breathtaking Ziz Valley. This valley is famous for its impressive groves of palm trees and beautiful greenery. On our way to Erfoud, we will meet an abundance of old Kasbahs which are fortified buildings used in the past to preserve various precious belongings. After this we will continue our tour from Tangier to reach the town of Merzouga, arriving at the very famous sea of dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will spend the night at a hotel in the desert.
Day 7: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga
We will dedicate that day of our tour from Tangier to discovering the beauty of the desert, which will include visiting the oases of Merzouga, discovering the traditional Khamlia village known for its indigenous Gnaoua Music, and spending some time with the Berber nomadic families at the desert plateau. We will head back to the hotel to have lunch and prepare for our camel trekking ride through the dunes. You will begin the trek as you will get to ride on the back of a camel, enjoying the breathtaking sunset over the desert dunes. After about an hour and a half ride, the camels will take you to the desert camp where you will enjoy dinner in a relaxing Sahara atmosphere. Seize this opportunity to stargaze in the clear desert night sky, then you can go to bed in your personal tent.
Day 8: Merzouga – Jorf – Todra gorges – Boumalne Dades
We will wake up in time to watch the very special desert sunrise, after which we will head back to our hotel to have breakfast and get to chance to shower. Our next destination will be the Dades valley, which we will reach through Rissani, Erfoud, and Tinejdad. We will arrive at the beautiful Todra gorges, which is a location that attracts climbers from all over the world for its unique rock formations. After spending enough time discovering the Todra gorges, we will head to the valley of Dades next, where we will have dinner and spend the night in a local Riad.
Day 9: Dades gorges – the valley of roses – Skoura – Ouarzazate
Today we will leave in the direction of Ouarzazate city, and on our way there, we will meet the valley of Roses, in which we will make a stop at one of the women’s cooperatives specializing in products derived from roses. After that, we will continue driving to the neighboring town of Skoura where we will visit the Kasbah of Amerdil. Finally, we will arrive at Ouarzazate where we will spend the night in a local Riad.
Day 10: Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Imlil Valley
Today we will head to the star of the desert: the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. This Kasbah is a recognized UNESCO world heritage site, dating back to the 11th century when it used to play an important role in the trade route connecting merchants from the sub-Sahara with the rest of Morocco. Enjoy walking around the streets of Kasbah, while catching glimpses of the High Atlas Mountains peaks. We will then leave Ait Ben Haddou behind, to continue driving through the mountains, by a famous mountain pass called Tizin Tichka (2260 meters high). This is also where we will have lunch, before continuing our exploration of the High Atlas Mountains. Finally, we will spend the night at a Riad in the valley of Imlil.

Day 11: Atlas Mountains Hike
This day will be entirely spent exploring the valley of Imlil, with its beautiful greenery and landscapes. You will enjoy a traditional lunch meal in one of the restaurants surrounding the waterfalls. As for dinner, you will have it at the same Riad where you will spend the night.
Day 12: Atlas Mountain Hike
After breakfast, we will start climbing one of the nearby High Atlas Mountain peaks (2700 meters high). This will give you a perfect view of Mount Toubkal, the highest mountain summit in Morocco (4167 meters). We will have lunch at a 2300-meter-high mountain pass, and we will go back to Imlil village to have dinner and spend the night.
Day 13: Atlas – Marrakech Guided visit
Today we will the mountains behind to head to the city of Marrakech, driving through the Asni and the Moulay Ibrahim valley. Then we will arrive at Marrakech, one of the most important cities in Morocco. It is also known as the “red city” for its brick-red colored walls and buildings. You can navigate through Marrakech’s busy streets, knowing that Jamaa El Fna Square alongside the Old Medina is North, the Koutoubia Mosque and its gardens are West, the Saadian tombs and the Bahia and El Badi palaces are South. Finally, the modern part of the city is called Gueliz and in it, you can find the beautiful Majorelle Gardens. You will be provided with overnight accommodation in a traditional Riad.
Day 14: Free day in Marrakech
Today you will be free to explore Marrakech however you like. You will be provided with overnight accommodation at a Riad.
Day 15: Marrakech
For the last day of your tour from Tangier in Morocco, you will have breakfast at the Riad, after which you will be transferred to the airport according to your flight schedule.
