Itineraries

Day 1

Casablanca – Rabat

You start your trip in Casablanca with a guided visit to the Hassan II Mosque. You walk along the Corniche and see the modern side of the city. After lunch, you drive to Rabat. You explore the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Oudaya Kasbah. You end the day with a calm walk near the Atlantic and overnight in Rabat.

Day 2

Rabat – Rif Mountains – Chefchaouen

You leave Rabat and head north through the Rif Mountains. The road offers green landscapes and small villages. You stop near Akchour for a short walk or break. In the afternoon, you arrive in Chefchaouen. You explore the blue streets, small souks, and the main square. Sunset at the Spanish Mosque gives you a full view of the city.

Day 3

Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

You leave early toward Volubilis. You walk through Roman ruins, mosaics, and ancient streets. Then you continue to Meknes. You visit Bab Mansour, the royal stables, and the old medina. After lunch, you drive to Fes. You stop at the Marinid tombs for a panoramic view before checking into your riad.

You continue exploring Fes. You visit the Royal Palace gates and the Jewish quarter. You explore museums and madrasas. You can join a cooking class or visit a local cooperative. You get more time to walk freely in the medina.

Day 6

Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

You leave Fes and drive through the Middle Atlas. You stop in Azrou to see cedar forests and wild monkeys. You continue to Midelt for lunch. Then you cross the Ziz Valley with palm groves and kasbahs. By late afternoon, you reach Merzouga. You ride camels into the dunes and reach your desert camp. Dinner and night under the stars.

Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges

You wake early for sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, you explore the desert area. You visit Khamlia village and hear Gnawa music. Then you stop at Rissani market. You continue to Tinghir and reach Todra Gorges. You walk between the high cliffs and stay overnight nearby.

Day 8

Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou

You drive through Dades Valley and the road of a thousand kasbahs. You stop in the Rose Valley and Skoura oasis. In Ouarzazate, you visit film studios. Then you continue to Ait Ben Haddou. You explore the ksar and enjoy sunset from the top.

Day 9

Ait Ben Haddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

You cross the High Atlas via Tizi n’Tichka pass. You stop for views and small villages along the way. You may visit an argan oil cooperative. You arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon. Free time in the evening.

Day 10

Marrakech

You explore Marrakech with a guide. You visit Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, and Saadian Tombs. You walk through the souks and end in Jemaa El Fna square. You see street performers and local food stalls.
